'Couple of weeks'
The Japanese international picked up the problem in training last Thursday and adds his name to an already lengthy injury list, featuring Artur Boruc, Aiden McGeady, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, Georgios Samaras, Marc Crosas, Glenn Loovens, Chris Killen and Pat McCourt. "It's his left knee and he could be out for a couple of weeks," said manager Gordon Strachan of Nakamura. "I think we are now up to a full team of injuries. It's not ideal but the rest of us just have to get on with it." Midfielder Shaun Maloney also hobbled off with a knee complaint at half-time against Motherwell and may be forced to miss Wednesday's Scottish Premier League match at home against Kilmarnock FC.
