Two signings
The 2002/03 Polish runners-up take on FK Atlantas of Lithuania in the two-legged UEFA Cup qualifying round next month for a place in the competition proper. To aid their cause, Groclin have signed playmaker Rafal Kaczmarczyk and Czech defender Radek Mynár.
New coach
Groclin's new Slovakian coach Dusan Radolský made Kaczmarczyk his first acquisition since taking charge. The 31-year-old playmaker has agreed a two-year deal after his contract at KS Górnik Zabrze expired. Mynár, a 29-year-old right-sided player, has arrived from AC Sparta Praha on a season's loan.
Experience important
"Mynár impressed in a friendly match and we decided to get him for a year with the option to buy," said Groclin spokesman Jerzy Pieta. "We will use his European experience as he played in the [UEFA] Champions League with Sparta."
Trio staying
Meanwhile, Poland midfield player Marcin Zajac has secured a one-year contract extension while the club have completed the permanent signings of defender Mariusz Pawlak and striker Andrzej Niedzielan, from KP Polonia Warszawa and Górnik respectively, after loan spells last season.
