2022 UEFA Europa League final - 18 May, kick-off 21:00 local time - Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, Seville
The venue for the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League final, Seville has flamenco, tapas bars and religious processions as well as football. Seville's days are long and full of life and light, with many activities accessible until late at night. Visitors will be struck by the city's vast Gothic cathedral, its Moorish heritage, the narrow streets of the bustling Santa Cruz district, the avenues fringed with orange trees, and its peaceful atmosphere, not least down by the Guadalquivir river.
By contrast, the cross-city rivalry between Real Betis and Sevilla FC is as intense as any in Spain, while both clubs have staged many national-team games since Seville is considered a lucky venue for La Roja. Betis (1934/35) and Sevilla (1945/46) have both won Spanish titles, but the city's biggest recent successes have been Sevilla's six triumphs in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League.
