FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk have made their first signing of the winter break, bolstering their squad with FC Uralan Elista midfield player Dmytro Semochko.
Birthday approaching
Semochko, who has spent much of his career playing in Russia, has signed for Dnipro until 2007 and will start training with his new club on 3 January, two days after his 25th birthday. He won seven caps for the Ukraine Under-21 side but is yet to make his full international debut.
Marseille await
Dnipro, the only Ukrainian Premier League club without a foreign player on their books, are currently third in the table and will play Olympique de Marseille in the third round of the UEFA Cup in February.
