Article body
Austrian UEFA Cup participants SK Rapid Wien have signed FC Zenit St. Peterburg striker Marek Kincl on loan for the 2004/05 season.
Two caps
The 31-year-old, capped twice by the Czech Republic, is the second Czech striker to join Rapid in the last seven days and is expected to spearhead Rapid’s attack alongside compatriot Tomáš Došek.
Famous goal
The much-travelled Kincl made his name with AC Sparta Praha, where he scored 24 goals in 81 games from 2000 until 2003. Kincl's finest hour came last season when his dramatic injury-time winner against S.S. Lazio sent Sparta into the knockout stages of the 2003/04 UEFA Champions League at the expense of their Italian opponents.
