Positional switch
The 25-year-old, who joined Feyenoord as a midfield player but subsequently switched to right-back, has agreed a contract with K-League champions Suwon Bluewings FC and moves for an undisclosed fee. He originally joined Feyenoord in August 2002 from Busan I'cons after impressing at that year's FIFA World Cup, where the South Koreans reached the semi-finals.
Squad revamp
Feyenoord coach Ruud Gullit is looking to revamp his squad this month and on Wednesday sold striker Thomas Buffel to Rangers FC, further raising funds for purchases during the transfer window, with forward Ali Boussaboun having already arrived from NAC Breda. His club, currently fourth in the Eredivisie and eleven points adrift of leaders AZ Alkmaar, meet Sporting Clube de Portugal in the UEFA Cup last 32 next month.
