The UEFA Cup Trophy Tour has travelled to the STRP Art and Technology festival in Eindhoven where the famous silverware will be on show until Sunday.
Famed club
The tour is taking the iconic trophy to the people of the Dutch city as part of celebrations surrounding the UEFA Cup final at the PSV Stadium on 10 May. The first stop was renowned Eindhoven amateur club VV DBS yesterday. The club were founded on 17 February 1953 and are managed by the father of Dutch international Phillip Cocu. They boast 300 members, playing in 30 youth teams.
Photo opportunity
The afternoon started with the arrival of the UEFA Cup at the Sportpark Meerhoven, after which some 250 DBS youngsters enjoyed training exercises, football games and four-against-four matches. In between these activities, the children had the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the trophy.
