AS Roma have announced the signing of US Lecce defender Marco Cassetti after the two clubs agreed a fee of €3m.
Four-year deal
The 29-year-old right-back, capped twice by Italy, made his Serie A debut in 2000 when with Hellas-Verona FC. He joined Lecce in 2003 and played 95 league games over three seasons, scoring nine goals. Cassetti has secured a four-year contract with the Giallorossi, who will play in the UEFA Cup after finishing fifth last term.
