Deportivo Alavés's Brazilian striker Nené, who struck nine times in the Primera División last season, has joined RC Celta de Vigo on a five-year contract.

Deportivo Alavés’s Brazilian striker Nené has joined RC Celta de Vigo on a five-year contract.

Useful addition
Celta become the 25-year-old’s third Spanish club since his arrival in 2003/04 when he signed for RCD Mallorca from Santos FC. Nené will undergo medical tests before linking up with the rest of the squad. Nené scored nine league goals last season and 23 so far over his first three campaigns in Spain. Celta will enter the UEFA Cup in September's first round after finishing sixth in the 2005/06 Primera División.
