'Major disappointment'
Roberts was carried off on a stretcher 27 minutes into the 2-0 loss at Upton Park and was taken to hospital for tests. After the game Blackburn manager Mark Hughes confirmed: "We have lost Jason Roberts with a broken metatarsal and that is a major disappointment." His team began their group stage campaign with a 2-1 win at Wisła Kraków.
