Blackburn Rovers FC could be without Robbie Savage for a month after the midfielder limped out of last night's 3-0 UEFA Cup victory against FC Basel 1893 with the recurrence of a thigh injury.
'Same problem'
"It is the same problem that forced me off against Bolton [on 22 October]," the 32-year-old said. "I felt great in training the last few days but there's nothing like a game. As soon as I planted my foot, I just felt it go again. It was a sharp pain, like a knife going in my thigh. I suppose in the past I've been lucky with injuries but maybe it's my turn."
Feyenoord doubt
Former Welsh international Savage is likely to miss Blackburn's Group E tie at Feyenoord on 23 November, when a win would be enough to take Mark Hughes's side into the knockout rounds. The English Premiership team have six points from Matchdays 1 and 2.
