Cartilage tear
The 31-year-old Moroccan international damaged the cartilage in his left knee during Saturday's 2-0 Eredivisie victory at home to Willem II, and a subsequent scan revealed a tear. Sinouh, who joined AZ last summer from Cypriot club AC Omonia, will undergo surgery to repair the torn cartilage on Thursday and is expected to be out for between four and six weeks. Coach Louis van Gaal should keep faith with Sinouh's replacement against Willem II, Boy Waterman, for both legs of the UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against Fenerbahçe SK, with Job Bulters on the bench.
