Aberdeen in for English pair

Scottish Premier League outfit Aberdeen FC have signed teenage strikers Jonathan Smith and Sone Aluko.

Double deal
Nineteen-year-old Smith has signed a one-year deal at Pittodrie after being released by Wigan Athletic FC and the Dons have also taken England youth international Sone Aluko, 18, on loan from Birmingham City FC until January. Aberdeen will play Ukrainian side FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the first round of the UEFA Cup, with the first leg in Scotland on 20 September.
