AZ Alkmaar have completed the signing of 23-year-old Mounir El Hamdaoui from Willem II.
Five-year deal
The attacking midfielder has signed a five-year deal that will keep him at the DSB Stadium until the summer of 2012. El Hamdaoui began his career at SC Excelsior and returned to the Netherlands at the start of last season after brief spells at Tottenham Hotspur FC and Derby County FC, the latter on loan. AZ were drawn to play FC Paços de Ferreira in the first round of the UEFA Cup, with the first leg in Portugal on 20 September.
