No place like home for Rinaudo

US Città di Palermo defender Leandro Rinaudo said he hoped to "stay for a long time" after extending his commitment to his hometown club until 2012.

Leandro Rinaudo has extended his long-term contract with US Città di Palermo by another year, committing to the Serie A side until 2012.

Hometown club
"I'm really happy," said the 24-year-old defender. "I was born in this city and it's really special to play in this jersey. I hope I will stay here for a long time." Having come up through the club's youth system Rinaudo has thus far only made ten league appearances for the Sicilian outfit, though he enjoyed success on loan at AC Siena last term, missing only nine games as the side staved off relegation. He will hope to remain at Palermo this term as his hometown club look to improve on their UEFA Cup group stage elimination last term, starting in the first round in September.
