Pranjić strengthens Heerenveen ties

Croatian international midfielder Danijel Pranjić has signed a four-year extension to his contract with SC Heerenveen, committing to the Frisian outfit until summer 2012.

The 25-year-old has established himself as a key player at the Abe Lenstra Stadium since joining from NK Dinamo Zagreb in 2005. He has missed just two Eredivisie games since, providing double figures in assists in each of his two seasons; a contribution not lost on the northern Dutch club. "A lot of appreciation is reflected by this new contract," said Pranjić. "We have a good young team and the club have said there will be reinforcements. I want to be part of it."
