The 24-year-old faces a month on the sidelines and will therefore be unavailable for his club's Group H opener against Feyenoord on 23 October and the trip to KKS Lech Poznań on 6 November. Chrétien, who has spent his whole career at Nancy, has played eight Ligue 1 games this season and started both UEFA Cup first-round legs against Motherwell FC which the French side won 3-0 on aggregate.
