Rehabilitation Forward Giovani had exploratory surgery today which ruled out the need for any further operation on the right ankle he injured in training last week. The 19-year-old Mexican international will begin a month-long rehabilitation period to cure the problem. He has not played since Tottenham's UEFA Cup Group D defeat at Udinese Calcio on 23 October, which preceded the north London club's 4-0 victory against NK Dinamo Zagreb last week.
'Get well soon' Recently-appointed Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said: "We all wish Gio a speedy recovery, because I have not had the opportunity to work with him yet."
