VfB Stuttgart have announced the departure of vastly experienced Mexican international Pável Pardo with immediate effect after the 32-year-old was offered the chance of returning to his homeland with CF América.
Successful spell
"Pavel had an attractive offer from América which he wanted to accept," explained VfB sporting director Horst Heldt. "We accepted his decision and agreed to cancel his contract. We wish him all the best for the future; good health and lots of sporting success." The agreement means Pardo returns to América two-and-a-half years after leaving to join VfB in a €1m switch. The defensive midfielder, capped 141 times by Mexico, enjoyed much success at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion, missing just five games as the side claimed the title in 2006/07.
