Argentinian Acevedo arrives at Metalist

FC Metalist Kharkiv have begun preparing for the resumption of their UEFA Cup campaign by signing defensive midfield player Walter Aníbal Acevedo on a five-year contract from CA San Lorenzo in his native Argentina

FC Metalist Kharkiv have begun preparing for the resumption of their UEFA Cup campaign by signing defensive midfield player Walter Aníbal Acevedo from CA San Lorenzo in his native Argentina

Dubai training
The 22-year-old inked a five-year contract on Sunday and will link up with his new team-mates at their training camp in Dubai. Acevedo has made over 50 league appearances for San Lorenzo, and has represented Argentina at youth level. Metalist resume their domestic programme at home to Ukrainian leaders FC Dynamo Kyiv on 28 February and in the previous two midweeks face UC Sampdoria in the UEFA Cup Round of 32.
