CSKA swoop for winger Tošić

PFC CSKA Moskva have signed Serbia winger Zoran Tošić from Manchester United FC for an undisclosed fee.

CSKA have agreed a five-year deal with the 23-year-old, who is in South Africa representing his country at the FIFA World Cup. Tošić had joined United in January 2009 after scoring 14 goals in 49 league matches for FK Partizan. However, he never started a game for the Old Trafford club, making five substitute appearances in total.

Capped 22 times by Serbia, the former FK Proleter and FK Banat Zrenjanin player spent the second half of the 2009/10 campaign at 1. FC Köln, striking five goals in 13 Bundesliga outings. CSKA will compete in the UEFA Europa League play-offs in August after finishing fifth in the 2009 Russian season.
