Sevilla FC have signed Colombian international forward Carlos Bacca from Club Brugge KV for a fee reported to be in the region of €7m.
The 26-year-old was named Belgium's player of the year in his second season at the club after his 25 goals in 35 top-flight appearances last term helped Brugge to a UEFA Europa League qualifying spot.
After agreeing terms on a five-year contract at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan, the former Junior de Barranquilla striker expressed his delight at joining the 2006 and 2007 UEFA Cup winners. "I am very happy as this is a dream for me. This is a beautiful city and I would like to thank all of the fans for their messages of support via the social networks. There is a beautiful project taking place at this club with important players who are eager and hungry to triumph."
Sevilla begin their 2013/14 UEFA Europa League challenge from the third qualifying round.
