Clément quits, Burke commits

Jérémy Clément has completed his transfer from Rangers FC to Paris Saint-Germain FC, while winger Chris Burke has pledged his future to the Scottish club.

Summer move
The 22-year-old Frenchman will be reunited with former Rangers manager Paul Le Guen who replaced Guy Lacombe as PSG coach on 15 January. Clément played 19 league games for Rangers following his summer switch from Olympique Lyonnais, but will now swap Rangers' bid for a UEFA Champions League spot for a Ligue 1 relegation battle with PSG.

Le Guen influence
Clément said: "It's a great chance to go back to France to a big club and also work with Paul Le Guen again. I hope I can progress and be a success there. I enjoyed my time with Rangers. I would like to thank all the fans for their support and I wish the club every success in the future." Meanwhile, 23-year-old Scotland winger Chris Burke has ended speculation about his future by signing a new deal keeping him at Ibrox until 2009. Burke made his debut for the Glasgow team in March 2002.
