Former Newcastle United FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC winger David Ginola took to the Twitter hot seat to answer your questions. Fans sent their questions to the competition's official account (@EuropaLeague) using #AskGinola and the ex-French international had his say on everything from Gareth Bale to this season's surprise packages and wearing the No14 shirt.
@Capel1: Who has been the best player in this season's competition?
David Ginola: Gareth Bale. He's always positive with his game, always going forward, taking players on. He's got strength, he's got a great left foot. He's the stereotype of the perfect modern footballer.
@Jovetic9: Which English team will go the furthest?
Ginola: Tottenham. An all-English final would be nice, especially because this season there are no English clubs left in the Champions League. Having two English clubs in the Europa League final would be the perfect scenario.
@Jay_harris97: Which side has impressed you most in this year's competition?
Ginola: Rubin Kazan and Basel. Sometimes you expect teams to get this far but that was not necessarily the case with these two.
@Rafaistricky: Which teams do you think are going to reach the final?
Ginola: My heart says Tottenham v Newcastle. That would be ideal.
@dmm121: A top-four Premier League finish or winning the UEFA Europa League. Which is better for Spurs?
Ginola: The best thing is winning trophies. Being in the top four to reach the Champions League is very important but the Europa League is a fantastic competition and for me there is no doubt that if Tottenham can bring the trophy back to White Hart Lane then it would be an achievement for André Villas-Boas and the club. A silver trophy is always very important.
@DanielChunk94: Do you think Bale is more influential as a winger, sitting behind the striker or as a lone striker?
@Danshahrezaey: Who has been Tottenham's top performer this season other than Gareth Bale?
Ginola: I quite like Scott Parker. Kyle Walker on the right as well. He's been injured but Benoît Assou-Ekotto is someone I like a lot too.
@endiependent: What's so special about the No14? You had that number at Newcastle, Spurs & Aston Villa.
Ginola: To be honest, when I played for PSG I wore the No11 shirt but when I arrived at Newcastle it was not available. So I took the No14 because for me it represents Johan Cryuff and the 1970s and I was a big fan of his. So since 1995 I have worn the No14 shirt.
@AviGolan25: What was your best moment as a player?
@josh_spurs: What is your favourite Spurs memory?
Ginola: Winning the League Cup at Wembley in 1999. To play at Wembley and to share the trophy with the fans, who really deserved it, was fantastic. It was a big achievement that season.
@beediejames: Who was the best player you played with at Newcastle?
Ginola: They all had different qualities. Les Ferdinand scored goals and Peter Beardsley was amazing in midfield but I had respect for all my team-mates.
@AlsPicks: What Newcastle game at St James' Park had the best atmosphere?
Ginola: When we won 5-0 against Manchester United. It was something special. The fans were gobsmacked with the way we played and the goals we scored were amazing.
@Pumis1: What's the most memorable European goal you scored?
Ginola: The goal against Ferencváros for Newcastle [the Magpies' third in a 4-0 win in the 1996/97 UEFA Cup second round]. I flicked the ball over the defender, controlled it with my thigh and volleyed it from 25 metres into the top corner.
