Feyenoord defender Ramon van Haaren will not play for at least two months after undergoing knee surgery.

Persistent injury
The wing-back has played just 25 minutes of football for Feyenoord since joining the club from Eredivisie rivals Roda JC in the summer, coming on as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League game against FC Bayern München because of a persistent injury.

Persistent injury
Van Haaren has now elected to have surgery on his damaged knee in an attempt to end his battle with injury, but doctors have said that it will be at least two months before the player will be able to make a return to first-team football. He is now not expected to be available until well after the Eredivisie's winter break.
