Odense BK have parted company with coach Lars Olsen, assistant Viggo Jensen and long-standing sporting director Kim Brink two days before beginning their UEFA Europa League Group H campaign.

OB endured a disappointing spring last season allowing FC København to take the Danish Superliga title, and they have picked up only 11 points in eight games this term. The club decided to act ahead of their trip to Getafe CF on Thursday by ending the three-year reign of Olsen, captain of Denmark's EURO '92 winning team. Former coach Uffe Pedersen has taken caretaker charge assisted by Henrik Clausen, with managing director Thomas Christensen assuming Brink's duties.

A club statement read: "OB have been developing very positively during the last ten years. Kim Brink has been an important part of this development, and in the last three years Lars Olsen and Viggo Jensen have also contributed to improving results to a high level.

"However, considering the speed of this development, it is natural that there comes a time when things come to a standstill, and when we have to look at matters in a different way. Therefore, based on an evaluation of our development and results during 2010, we have decided to put together new management around the team, and this is the reason why we have let Kim Brink, Lars Olsen and Viggo Jensen go."
