RC Celta de Vigo have reached an agreement to bring Uruguayan international Pablo García on a season's loan from Real Madrid CF.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has fallen out of favour under new Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello and joins the Galician club in time for their UEFA Cup first-round tie against R. Standard de Liège on 14 and 28 September. After leaving Club Atlético de Madrid during the 2000/01 campaign, García spent two seasons in Italy with AC Milan, including a loan spell at Venezia Calcio. He returned to Spain with CA Osasuna, where he made 78 Primera División appearances over the course of three campaigns before switching to the Santiago Bernabéu last summer. He played 22 league games for Madrid in 2005/06.
