Trabzonspor's D'Haene deal

UEFA Cup qualifiers Trabzonspor have made Karel D'Haene their second summer signing from R. Antwerp FC.

Friends reunited
The 22-year-old Belgian player will join former team-mate, the Guinean forward Ibrahim Yattara, at the Avni Aker stadium after agreeing a three-year deal.

'A good move'
D'Haene said of the move to Trabzonspor: "It was not an easy decision to make, but you do not get many chances like this in your career. It is good for me on a financial level as well as a footballing one". D'Haene, who made 24 league appearances last season, was contracted to Antwerp until 2005. He was previously with KSV Waregem.

'A useful addition'
Trabzonspor official Yusuf Ziya Yilmaz said: "D'Haene is a versatile player who can play both in defence and in midfield. He will be a useful addition to our team."
