International pair boost Potsdam

Germany duo Britta Carlson and Petra Wimbersky were fit to play for 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam on Sunday.

1. FFC Turbine Potsdam warmed up for the first leg of their UEFA Women's Cup final against Djurgården/Älvsjö by drawing 0-0 against 1. FSV Frankfurt on Sunday.

Fight for second
With the trip to Stockholm in mind, coach Bernd Schröder asked his players to "get a good result without wasting too much energy" against mid-table opposition. Although they did not expend too much energy, Potsdam's failure to score means FCR Duisburg are now just two points behind with a game in hand as the two clubs fight to finish second behind champions 1. FFC Frankfurt.

Duo return
Schröder was pleased to see German internationals Britta Carlson and Petra Wimbersky recover from minor knocks yet both came off in the second half for precautionary reasons. Potsdam have another date before their first tussle against Djurgården/Älvsjö as they travel to TSV Crailsheim 1846 on Tuesday.
