Article body
Arsenal against Frankfurt
Perhaps the tie of the round is the first to kick off, as inaugural 2001/02 winners 1. FFC Frankfurt travel to two-time semi-finalists Arsenal LFC for their Saturday afternoon fixture at Barnet. It is the English champions' first meeting with German opposition in this competition, though German title-holders Frankfurt did eliminate Fulham LFC 7-2 on aggregate at this stage two years ago en route to the final.
Montpellier meeting
Whoever emerges triumphant from the second leg next week in Frankfurt will play either Montpellier HSC or Brøndby IF, who also meet on Saturday in France. Montpellier proved their worth by holding reigning champions 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam 0-0 in the second qualifying round, but Brøndby reached the last four in 2003/04 and overcame Arsenal 1-0 to win their group in the previous stage.
Holders travel
Potsdam continue their trophy defence on Sunday when they visit Iceland's national Laugardalsvöllur stadium to play Valur Reykjavik, who have already set a benchmark for their country by making the last eight.
Czech best
Another team enjoying their nation's longest run in this competition, AC Sparta Praha, welcome Djurgården/Älvsjö on Tuesday. The Swedish side have an extra incentive - victory could give them the chance to avenge last season's final defeat by Potsdam as the two clubs will meet in next month's semi-finals if both progress.
