In the penultimate match of the season, Potsdam lost 2-1 at SC 07 Bad Neuenahr, conceding in the first minute to Lydia Neumann. Monique Kerschowski levelled the scores but Potsdam could find no response to Nicole Bender's winner for Bad Neunahr three minutes before the interval.
Four for Smisek
Meanwhile, Potsdam's UEFA Women's Cup final opponents 1. FFC Frankfurt were in peerless form as they won 6-1 against SC Freiburg. Sandra Smisek scored four goals with Birgit Prinz adding two more. Frankfurt are 4-0 up from the first leg of their final against Potsdam and play at home this Saturday.
Sindelfingen win
In the remaining fixtures, VfL Sindelfingen defeated FFC Heike Rheine 2-1 while FC Bayern München won 6-2 against FFC Brauweiler Pulheim. Hamburger SV lost on home soil 3-0 against FCR Duisburg and relegated FSV Frankfurt will meet SG Essen-Schönebeck on Sunday.
