Poor start
European champions in 2005 and runners-up last season, Potsdam have made a disappointing start to their Bundesliga defence, finally winning a game after two defeats at the weekend. The Danish title-holders have no such worries, and an aggressive start at home brought them the opening goal after seven minutes as midfielder Cathrine Paaske Sørensen found the net.
Late strike
Stine Kjær Dimun doubled Brøndby's lead in the 54th minute, and just when the match could have swung the other way with an away goal Kicki Nielsen popped up in the 86th minute to leave coach Henrik Jensen and the vocal home support in dreamland. The tie concludes in Germany next Wednesday.
