England midfielder Fara Williams will be captaining Everton LFC in their debut UEFA Women's Cup campaign and is relishing the experience after learning their first qualifying round opponents.

Lithuanian trip
FA Women's Premier League runners-up Everton gained entry into Europe after champions Arsenal LFC won the UEFA Women's Cup last season, and they will be meeting Switzerland's FFC Zuchwil 05, Glentoran Belfast United of Northern Ireland and Lithuanian mini-tournament hosts Gintra Universitetas from 9 to 14 August for a place in October's second qualifying round, where they would come up against two-time champions 1. FFC Frankfurt. Williams, capped 50 times for England and gearing up for the FIFA Women's World Cup finals in September, is looking forward to the continental challenge.

'Interesting experience'
"It will be an interesting experience," Williams told Everton's official website. "Obviously we don't know much about the other teams, but they must be decent or they wouldn't be there. It's a great opportunity for us to show what we can do and to show the quality of the English game. We will all be looking forward to it although it will clearly be a tough schedule playing so many games in a short space of time. But the excitement of qualifying for Europe is all about this type of scenario and it is a challenge all the girls at Everton will be relishing."
