Run over
Frankfurt have reached the last ten finals, held before the men's decider at Berlin's Olympiastadion, and won seven of those including in 2007 and 2008. But their bid for a hat-trick is over after Nicole Banecki's 51st-minute goal for Bayern, who currently have a 100 per cent record in the Frauen Bundesliga.
Duisburg cruise
"I am stunned," said Frankfurt general manager Siegfried Dietrich. "Financially an early exit is a huge blow for us."
