FCR 2001 Duisburg became the last winners of the UEFA Women's Cup before the launch of the new UEFA Women's Champions League as they beat Zvezda-2005 7-1 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in front of a competition record 28,112 crowd at the MSV Arena – and midfielder Fatmire Bajramaj said it was "the biggest thing we can achieve". uefa.com rounds up the reaction from both teams.

Fatmire Bajramaj, Duisburg midfielder
A dream has come true. I'm really happy that we won the UEFA Women's Cup and I really love this wonderful trophy. For our club it is the biggest thing we can achieve. It was a difficult game for us tonight but we already knew we would see a different performance from Zvezda. They showed us tonight what they really can do. I am really looking forward to the Champions League: it sounds better than the UEFA Cup!

Annemieke Kiesel, Duisburg midfielder
I am really happy that I was substituted tonight because only when I was sitting on the bench that I was able to appreciate the atmosphere and the chants of the crowd. The joy is enormous because to have won this final means we are the best team in Europe.

Inka Grings, Duisburg captain
It is almost impossible to describe this incredible atmosphere. It was a real reward for us, our team and women's football in general. We are extremely proud oif it. We will now enjoy this feeling for one or two days and will then start preparing for [next Saturday's] German Cup final in Berlin.

Sonja Fuss, Duisburg defender
We were planning to show the crowd a great game but we failed to do that. I think we were about 20 or 30 per cent below our usual level or aggression and weren't determined enough. But now we are just going to celebrate. I will miss this team [when I join 1. FC Köln in the summer].

Annike Krahn, Duisburg goalscorer
I think with the 6-0 lead in our minds it was difficult today to perform at the highest level. For most of the game we couldn't show what we really can but at the end victory is all that counts. I think it you look at the season as a whole we deserved to win it.

Natalia Barbashina, Zvezda striker
It was nice to play in front of a big crowd tonight even though we missed out on our target of winning tonight. I don't want to say anything any more about the first leg because we just had an extremely bad day, we threw it away in Kazan.

Ksenia Tsybutovich, Zvezda defender
Today both teams played well. We are just sorry that the first game was not very good and that made today's game less interesting. [The crowd was] amazing, people in our country should learn from this and come to games. We are delighted to have played in front of so many people.
