German champions 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam have completed their activity in the summer transfer market by making SG Wattenscheid 09 goalkeeper Lena Hohlfeld their fifth and final signing ahead of the new campaign.

Deputy
The 28-year-old played 13 Bundesliga games between 1992 and 2002 in her first spell with Potsdam, and returns after impressing in the second tier last season. Hohlfeld replaces Gaёlle Thalmann as back-up to No1 Desiree Schumann following the Swiss keeper's move to Hamburger SV.

European push
Having already recruited Fatmire Bajramaj, Corina Schröder, Nadine Kessler and Josephine Henning, coach Bernd Schröder said: "We'll have a strong squad next season and should be competing for top honours." Those would include the inaugural UEFA Women's Champions League, which Potsdam will enter in the Round of 32.

Duisburg extensions
Meanwhile, UEFA Women's Cup holders FCR 2001 Duisburg have extended the contracts of German Under-19 international Marina Hegering (two years) and goalkeeper Christina Bellinghoven (12 months).
