Rosengård and Slavia take leads

Both second legs for tonight's ties are next Thursday
The other six first legs were yesterday and resume on Wednesday

Verona 1-3 Rosengård
Swedish champions Rosengård became the fifth side to win away in the eight first legs – and were ahead early when Marta's shot took a slight yet decisive deflection on its way past Stéphanie Öhrström. Valeria Pirone levelled from close range when Sandy Maendly's free-kick caused confusion in the Rosengård area and Kathrin Längert only parried Tatiana Bonetti's header.

Rosengård restored their advantage within minutes, though, with Marta's cross turned inside her own near post by Marta Carissimi, under pressure from Sofie Junge Pedersen. Marta was forced off injured early in the second half and Michela Ledri's effort from distance almost brought Verona level again. However, Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir wrapped things up for the guests, ghosting in unmarked at the far post to tuck in Kirsten van de Ven's low centre.

Slavia Praha 2-1 Zvezda-2005
Having knocked out three-time semi-finalists Brøndby in the round of 32, Slavia defeated 2009 runners-up Zvezda at the Eden Stadium for a lead to take to Russia next week. After just six minutes Petra Divišová nodded in a corner for her third goal of this campaign, but after withstanding further Slavia pressure Zvezda equalised through a thunderous shot by José Nahi. Divišová then hit the woodwork, yet ten minutes into the second period Simona Necidová – sister of Tomáš Necid – clinched victory for Slavia with a fine header from one of Slavia's nine corners.
