Two-time European champions Wolfsburg welcome UEFA Women's Champions League debutants Roma to Germany with both sides unbeaten on seven points after three matches in Group B. The winners of this Matchday 4 encounter will be through to the quarter-finals if St. Pölten do not defeat Slavia in the group's other fixture.

The points were shared in Italy on Matchday 3 as Roma's Valentina Giacinti and Wolfsburg's Ewa Pajor both scored for the third successive Group B fixture in a keenly contested 1-1 draw.

Both teams went into that game on maximum points. Roma beat Slavia Praha 1-0 at home before staging a remarkable 4-3 comeback win away to St. Pölten, while the German champions kept clean sheets in overcoming first their Austrian counterparts, 4-0 at home, then the Czech title holders, 2-0 in Prague.

Wolfsburg, who are seeking their first UEFA Women's Champions League title since back-to-back triumphs in 2013 and 2014 and have never failed to make it through to at least the quarter-finals in all ten appearances over the past decade, reached last season's semi-final, where they bowed out to holders Barcelona (1-5 a, 2-0 h).

The She-Wolves reclaimed the German domestic crown last season from nearest challengers Bayern München to make it five Frauen-Bundesliga titles in six campaigns and seven overall, equalling 1. FFC Frankfurt's record.

Roma, who finished runners-up in Serie A Femminile last season five points behind champions Juventus, are in the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage at the first time of asking. In round 1 they overcame Scottish outfit Glasgow City 3-1 in their first ever European tie before beating Paris FC on penalties after a 0-0 draw, then saw off Sparta Praha with a couple of comeback wins in round 2 (2-1 a, 4-1 h).
