Wolfsburg and Roma are in direct competition for a UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-final spot as they meet in Germany on Matchday 5.
The two sides both have six points having won two and lost two of their four Group A fixtures, Wolfsburg winning 5-0 at home to Galatasaray last time out in what was their 100th European game, while Roma lost 1-4 at group leaders Lyon despite taking the lead in the 74th minute.

Previous meetings
First drawn together in the 2022/23 group stage, Wolfsburg and Roma shared a 1-1 draw in Italy on Matchday 3 before the German side triumphed 4-2 at home two weeks later. Ewa Pajor struck three times across both meetings for Wolfsburg.
The Italian team were 1-0 winners in Rome on Matchday 1 this season, an early Manuela Giugliano penalty separating the sides on 8 October.

Before their Matchday 1 loss at Roma, Wolfsburg had won their previous three contests against Italian teams, beating Fiorentina 12-0 on aggregate (7-0 a, 5-0 h) in round 2 this season to reach the group stage.
The German side's only other defeat by Italian opponents was a 0-2 loss to Juventus in the 2021/22 group stage. That remains their only home reverse in five matches against Italian visitors (W3 D1); they have won their last two.
Alex Popp scored three times against Galatasaray on Matchday 4, a week after Rebecka Blomqvist had hit a hat-trick of her own against the same opponents, both games ending 5-0.
Champions in 2013 and 2014, Wolfsburg are back in the group stage after losing in round 2 to Paris FC (3-3 a, 0-2 h) last season.
That defeat ended Wolfsburg's run of reaching the quarter-finals or better in 11 consecutive seasons.
Wolfsburg's back-to-back European titles came courtesy of final victories against Lyon in 2013 (1-0) and Tyresö 12 months later (4-3).
Wolfsburg have reached the final on four further occasions, most recently in 2023 when they lost 3-2 to Barcelona in Eindhoven having led 2-0 at half-time.
The She-Wolves progressed to this season's group stage with that victory over Fiorentina in round 2, Popp scoring a hat-trick in the first leg in Italy on 18 September.
Popp has scored in four separate Women's Champions League finals – a record she shares with Lyon's Ada Hegerberg.
Wolfsburg claimed a record-extending 11th DFB-Pokal Frauen title last season, beating Bayern München 2-0 in the final on 9 May, and finished second in the Women's Bundesliga.
The German side's only home defeat in any competition this season was the 0-2 reverse against Lyon on Matchday 2. Their record otherwise is W7 D1.

Aside from their three games against Wolfsburg, Roma's only other experience against German opposition was in last season's group stage when they drew 2-2 both home and away against Bayern. Giugliano scored added-time goals in both games.
The Italian side are seeking their first win in Germany on their third attempt.
On Matchday 4 Roma took a late lead at Lyon through Giulia Dragoni, but the eight-time winners responded with four goals of their own in the final 11 minutes, making it successive victories against their Italian opponents having won 3-0 in Rome on 13 November.
This is Roma's third appearance in the Women's Champions League group stage after featuring in both 2022/23 and 2023/24.
Alessandro Spugna's side reached the quarter-finals on their competition debut in 2022/23, losing 1-6 on aggregate to eventual champions Barcelona (0-1 h, 1-5 a).
Roma finished fourth in Group C last season in a section that included Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern and Ajax, their only victory coming against the latter.
In qualifying for this season's group stage, Roma overcame Swiss opponents FCCF Servette in round 2. Evelyne Viens scored twice in a 3-1 first-leg victory in Rome on 18 September, Dragoni and Valentina Giacinti both finding the net twice in a 7-2 win in Geneva eight days later.
Giugliano and Giacinti scored eight of Roma's ten goals in the 2023/24 group stage.
The Giallorosse claimed their first ever domestic double last season with success in both league and cup.
