UEFA Women's Champions League knockout phase draw: Where is it, when is it, who is involved?
UEFA

The 2025/26 UEFA Women's Champions League knockout phase draw takes place at 13:00 CET on Thursday 18 December 2025 and will set the bracket from the knockout phase play-offs to the final.

The top four teams in the league phase progress directly to the quarter-finals. The teams finishing fifth to 12th enter the knockout phase play-offs, with the four victors advancing to the last eight.

All matches in the knockout phase, other than the final in Oslo, will be played over two legs, home and away.

Which teams are in the Women's Champions League knockout phase draw?

The teams that finish in the top 12 in the league phase will be involved in the draw; they will be confirmed when the league phase concludes on Wednesday 17 December 2025.

How can I watch the draw?

The draw will be streamed live on UEFA.com and the official UEFA Women's Champions League app.

Where is the Women's Champions League knockout phase draw?

The draw takes place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

What are the Women's Champions League knockout phase play-offs?

From the knockout phase play-offs onwards, the tournament is a bracket. Potential opponents are pre-defined by the bracket; teams finishing fifth and sixth will face the sides that end the league phase in 11th or 12th whilst teams finishing seventh or eighth are drawn against either the ninth or tenth-placed sides.

The teams that finish the league phase between fifth and eighth are seeded for the knockout phase play-off draw. The seeded team in each tie will, in principle, play the return leg at home.

The four clubs that prevail in the knockout phase play-offs progress to the quarter-finals.

How will the Women's Champions League knockout phase play-off draw work?

The fixtures for the knockout phase play-offs are determined by means of a draw conducted in accordance with the following principles:

a. The clubs are paired based on their positions at the end of the league phase to form two seeded pairs (clubs in positions 5 and 6, and 7 and 8) and two unseeded pairs (positions 9 and 10, and 11 and 12).

b. The clubs in each seeded pair are drawn against the clubs in each unseeded pair: clubs 5 or 6 against clubs 11 or 12, and clubs 7 or 8 against clubs 9 or 10.

How will the Women's Champions League quarter-final draw work?

The fixtures for the quarter-finals are determined by means of a draw conducted in accordance with the following principles:

a. The clubs are paired based on their positions at the end of the league phase to form two seeded pairs (clubs in positions 1 and 2, and 3 and 4).

b. The clubs in each seeded pair are drawn into one of the two positions in each quarter-final against the winners of the knockout phase play-offs, whose positions are determined by the knockout phase play-off draw.

How will the Women's Champions League semi-final draw work?

Seeded teams, i.e. teams ranked 1 and 2 after the league phase, play the return leg of the semi-finals at home. If a seeded team is beaten in the quarter-finals, the team that eliminates them takes over their seeding position in the bracket path (i.e. the higher ranking for seeding purposes is not recalculated after each round).

Can teams from the same national association face each other in the Women's Champions League knockout phase?

Sides can face another team from the same national association in the knockout phase play-offs. Clubs could also face opponents they met during the league phase.

When will the knockout phase games take place?

All matches in the knockout phase, other than the final in Oslo, will be played over two legs:

Knockout phase play-offs
First leg: 11/12 February
Second leg: 18/19 February

Quarter-finals
First leg: 24/25 March
