Two years on from hosting the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Israel takes centre stage again when welcoming the best of European women's football at Under-19 level. Long after the final ball is kicked, Israel Football Association (IFA) president Ofer Eini expects the impact to be felt for female players across the country.
"We really want to advance women's football," Mr Eini told UEFA.org. "We place a big importance on the real development of women's football and we want to create a situation where this sport will develop all over the country so that in the future we can compete with pride in international tournaments."
