UEFA Cup woe
The Aalborg management announced that they had based their decision on the fact "that were uncertain about whether Rudbæk would be able to live up to Aalborg’s ambitions for the future". Aalborg finished fourth in the Danish Superligaen this season, just short of a place in the UEFA Cup.
Expert commentator
Rudbæk has been offered a position within the Aalborg management which he will now consider while he acts as expert commentator for Danish radio during the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals.
Andreasen returns
Rudbæk will be replaced by Poul Erik Andeasen who led Aalborg to the Danish championship before taking charge at Norwegian side Viking FK.
