First-half penalty
Abdelsatar Sabry set the islanders on their way to victory when he slotted home a penalty just before the interval. Richardson doubled his side's lead five minutes from time and Danny Miguel struck the final goal in the 90th minute.

Eyeing fifth spot
The victory, Marítimo's eleventh in 23 Portuguese league matches this season, sees the Funchal club move to within two points of fifth-placed Leiria.
