Relegation-threatened Silkeborg IF were denied a crucial three points tonight by an 88th-minute equaliser from Esbjerg fB midfield player Hans Henrik Andreasen.
Andreasen equaliser
Silkeborg, who started the game three points clear of the bottom two, looked to be heading for the win thanks to Lars Brøgger's 39th-minute strike. But Andreasen broke the visitors' hearts when he headed in Esbjerg's equaliser in the dying minutes.
Brøgger on target
Silkeborg took the lead when Brøgger showed quick reactions after Esbjerg goalkeeper Martin Jensen had failed to hold Jesper Thygesen's shot from just outside the area. Just as the points looked to be heading home with the visitors though, Andreasen, who had earlier had an appeal for a penalty turned down, reacted quickest to head in Henrik Nielsen's corner at the far post.
