Title ambition
Rivanildo told a press conference: "I am delighted that I can finally start playing. I have spent the last six months waiting for the paperwork to come through. Rad are a forward-looking club with a lot of good young players. We still have a chance of the UEFA Intertoto Cup this season, but next year we are going for the title."
Third time lucky
Rivanildo becomes the third Brazilian to play in the Prva Savezna Liga - Edilson and Viliams spent the 1996/97 season with FK Crvena Zvezda. The 24-year-old could be joined by a fourth, as Rad are pondering a loan move for the Paris Saint-Germain FC striker Anderson Costa.
