VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach's Belgian forward Joris van Hout is set to miss the remainder of the 1. Bundesliga season after tearing a cruciate ligament in Sunday's 1-0 win over Hannover 96.

Double blow
Van Hout was signed in July from RSC Anderlecht and has been used as a replacement for Arie van Lent, who picked up a serious injury in August and is not expected to return before February. Mönchengladbach are in 16th place in the Bundesliga with 19 points from 16 games.
