Iliev opens scoring
Striker Ivica Iliev opened the scoring on 23 minutes with a close-range header and Danko Lazovic put Partizan further ahead eleven minutes later. A goal from striker Marinko Petkovic was not enough to bring Cukaricki back into the game.
Crzena Zvezda slip
FK Crzena Zvezda slipped to third after being held to a goalless draw at FK Sartid. The visitors could have stolen the points in the closing minutes but strikers Mihailo Pjanovic and Dragan Bogavac both missed clear-cut chances.
Zeleznik take second
FK Zeleznik moved into second place after an impressive 3-1 home win against FK Zemun. Striker Slobodan Markovic broke the deadlock on 30 minutes and four minutes later Serbia and Montenegro Under-21 player Nenad Nastic doubled the advantage. Captain Dejan Radjenovic extended Zeleznik’s lead in the 63rd minute, before Zelmun scored a consolation goal through midfield player Zeljko Kalajdzic on 69 minutes.
Zeta ease past
FK Zeta eased past lowly FK Javor Ivanjica 4-1 despite going a goal behind on 30 minutes when defender Srdjan Gasic scored. Zeta equalised in the 48th minute through striker Malesija Vojvoda and two minutes later a Bojan Brnovic penalty put the visitors into the lead. Branimir Petrovic then extended the advantage on 70 minutes and Brnovic rounded-off the scoring in the 74th minute.
Narrow win
Coachless FK Sutjeska recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over FK Rudar Pljevlja in the Montenegro derby thanks to captain Darko Krsteski’s 61st-minute goal. Midfield player Sasa Zoric scored the only goal of the game on 32 minutes as ten-man FK Obilic defeated FK Kula. Defender Dragan Ljubisavljevic was sent off midway through the second half.
Rad stroll
FK Rad strolled to a 4-0 win over FK Mogren but had to wait until the 48th minute to opening the scoring through Dejan Rusmir. The midfield player was to find the net again along with Darko Pivaljevic and Nenad Djukanovic.
Dismal run
FK Radnicki Niš continued their dismal run of results with a 3-0 home defeat to FK Vojvodina. Defender Milan Stepanov, Nenad Trajkovic and Ljubisa Vukelja were on target for the visitors. Finally, FK Radnicki Obrenovac and OFK Beograd played out a goalless draw.
