ŠK Slovan Bratislava's lead was cut to just two points as they were held by MŠK Ruzomberok.

ŠK Slovan Bratislava's lead at the top of the Superliga was cut to just two points as they were held to a 0-0 draw at MŠK Ruzomberok.

Penalty save
Slovan, who were forced to field a young and relatively inexperienced side due to a number of injury problems, could have lost the game but goalkeeper Vojin Prole saved Igor Žofčák's penalty.

Narrow win
Second-placed MŠK Žilina closed the gap at the top with a narrow 1-0 victory at ŠKM Púchov, with midfield player Marek Bažík scoring the only goal of the game to seal Zilina's third successive win.

Petrzalka penalty
FC Artmedia Petrzalka remained in third position with a win at home to bottom club 1. FC Košice. Martin Obšitník, who joined Petrzalka from Košice last autumn, scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot after Sergei Zaitsev had fouled Tomáš Medved in the penalty area.

Otočka involved
FC Spartak Trnava were denied victory at FK Laugaricio Trencín by two goals from Michal Otočka, who is likely to miss the rest of the season having broken his collarbone later in the match. Goals from Pavol Staňo and Andrej Filip had earlier given Spartak a 2-0 lead.

Crucial win
At the bottom of the table, FK ZTS Dubnica joined Ruzomberok and AŠK Inter Bratislava on 32 points with a vital 2-1 victory at home to Inter. Alias Lembakoali had given Inter the lead five minutes before half-time, but Peter Kiška equalised two minutes into the second period and substitute Ján Švikruha scored an all-important winner eight minutes later.
