Romanian striker Viorel Moldovan is returning to FC Nantes Atlantique who have also signed Gilles Yapi Yapo.

Spell in UAE
Romanian striker Viorel Moldovan is returning to the club for the rest of the season after ending his spell in the United Arab Emirates, while Ivory Coast midfield player Gilles Yapi Yapo arrives on a six-month contract from Belgium's KSK Beveren.

'Happy to be back'
Moldovan, 32, left Nantes after three seasons last June to play for Al Wahda Club but cancelled his contract in September for family reasons. He is now free to return to Ligue 1 after the reopening of the transfer window and said: "I'm happy to be back with the club where I won the French title and had the chance to play [UEFA] Champions League football."

Attacking threat
Yapi Yapo should also boost Nantes' attacking options. The 22-year-old, who can play as a forward, has scored six goals in 15 games this season for Beveren. Nantes sit tenth in Ligue 1.
