Scifo joins Tubeke
Belgian football legend Enzo Scifo has been named sporting director of Belgian second division side Tubeke. Scifo, who was capped 84 times by Belgium, signed a contract on Thursday and will now attempt to guide the club through the promotion play-offs and into the Eerste Klasse. "My first task will be to find a new coach for next season and to achieve the best possible result in the play-off matches," Scifo said. It marks the 38-year-old's return to Belgian football after a two-year absence following his departure from R. Charleroi SC.
Zwolle sign trio
FC Zwolle planned for the future on Thursday with the signing of three players, despite still being involved in a battle for Eredivisie survival. The midfield player Arco Jochemsen, defender Ronald Breinburg and goalkeeper Theo Brack all agreed deals as Zwolle prepare for a likely place in the relegation play-offs. Jochemsen, 33, joins from FC Twente and Breinburg, 23, from FC Volendam, both on two-year deals. Dutch Under-19 international Brack, meanwhile, returns to the club where he started his career on a three-year deal from NEC Nijmegen.
